About this course
There is a profound saying in the Art of War by the renowned Chinese general Sun Tzu: “Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat”. It is critical that all potential customers of AWS understand migration options, strategies, and all aspects of AWS cloud economics before placing a single file, data, or app into the cloud. In this course, you will discover the benefits of the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework (AWS CAF) and identify proper migration strategies. Then you will focus on the economic aspects of cloud migration, including costs of on-premises environments, cost savings from moving to the cloud, fixed vs. variable costs, and licensing strategies. Finally, you will explore the concept of right sizing, in order to map the appropriate workload performance and capacity requirements for your organization to the lowest feasible cost.
