Implementing and Validating QoS Designs
Correctly deploying an existing technical design is what separates ideas from reality. This course will teach you how to implement and validate network Quality of Service (QoS) designs across a variety of environments.
After developing comprehensive QoS designs to meet business needs, engineers need to configure those policies in the network, and ensure that they are working as intended. In this course, Implementing and Validating QoS Designs, you’ll learn how to deploy complex and nuanced classification policies that mark IP packets for QoS treatment on ingress. Next, you’ll discover the proper techniques for allocating bandwidth to various types of network flows, ensuring equitable treatment for business critical applications based on their performance specifications. Finally, you’ll learn how to apply traffic conditioners, such as policers and shapers, to slow down the flow of traffic, achieving the desired transmission rates required by your business, or that of your partners, customers, and providers. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of a QoS engineer needed to implement QoS policies and validate their functionality in the network.
