Even the smallest organization requires a WAN and likely a VPN. This course explores the purpose of WAN and VPN connections, identifies real world WAN technology, and demonstrates the configuration of a VPN.
At the core of cloud-based technology is a thorough knowledge of running wide area networks and VPNs. In this course, Wide Area Networking and VPN Operation, you’ll learn key concepts about WAN and VPNs. First, you will examine the key components that differentiate WAN from LAN. Then, you will identify real world WAN technology used to build WAN connections. Next, you will describe why we use VPNs and how they operate. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have a foundational knowledge of configuring a site to site VPN using Packet Tracer.
