Welcome to Django 4.0 with Amazon RDS, Elastic Beanstalk and Route53 course, first of all let me introduce some concepts.
What is Django ?
Django is a free and open source, Python based web framework that follows the model–template–views architectural pattern. It is maintained by the Django Software Foundation, an independent organization established in the US as a 501 non profit.
What is Amazon RDS ?
Amazon Relational Database Service is a distributed relational database service by Amazon Web Services. It is a web service running “in the cloud” designed to simplify the setup, operation, and scaling of a relational database for use in applications.
What is Amazon Elastic Beanstalk ?
AWS Elastic Beanstalk is an orchestration service offered by Amazon Web Services for deploying applications which orchestrates various AWS services, including EC2, S3, Simple Notification Service, CloudWatch, autoscaling, and Elastic Load Balancers.
What is Amazon Route53 ?
Amazon Route 53 is a scalable and highly available Domain Name System service. Released on December 5, 2010, it is part of Amazon.com cloud computing platform, Amazon Web Services.
Now this course is divided in to different lessons, we are going to start from fundamental concepts on Django, after that we go through some more advance topics and at the end we deploy our Django 4.0 project to elastic beanstalk, we add a custom domain name to our Django blog application, and after that we secure our Django blog application with amazon SSL Certificate.
