In this course, Getting Started with Heroku, you’ll learn the value proposition offered by Heroku in cloud deployment. First, you’ll explore the underlying architecture of Heroku and understand key terminologies. Next, you’ll discover how to install Heroku CLI and explore various commands. Then, you’ll gain an understanding of how to prepare, deploy and scale a Java application in Heroku platform. Finally, you’ll learn how to provision a postgres database and connect to this database from your application. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of deploying applications in the Heroku platform that are developed in the language of your choice.
