Managing Cisco® Networking on VMware and Microsoft VM Platforms
Virtualization management is a required skill for data center networks. This course introduces the concepts of virtualization, including managing virtual guests, managing virtual networks, and installation of the Cisco Nexus 1000v virtual switch.
Knowing how virtualization works is becoming a requirement for managing modern datacenters. In this course, Managing Cisco® Networking on VMware and Microsoft VM Platforms, you will learn the skills necessary to perform basic management of virtual platforms. First, you will explore host and guest management on the VMware ESXi/vCenter platform. Next, you will cover virtual host, guest, and network management in the Microsoft Hyper-V platform. Finally, you will install the Cisco Nexus 1000v virtual distributed switch in the VMware environment. When you are finished with this course, you will have a solid grasp of the basics of virtual machine management in VMware vCenter and Microsoft Hyper-V and managing the virtual networks in both platforms.
