Bash and Z shell are becoming the default login shells on almost all of the UNIX based operating systems of today. This course will teach you how to use them to manipulate files and change their permissions.
Bourne-again shell is getting more popular in the UNIX OS circles since the GNU revolution started. Z shell is introducing some new features and it is not far behind. In this course, Managing Files Using Bash and Z Shell, you’ll learn to use them to manipulate files. First, you’ll explore how to create and edit files. Next, you’ll discover the permissions they have and how to read them. Finally, you’ll learn how to process their content with some of the most popular UNIX utilities.
