In this course, Prompt Engineering for Developers with Claude 3, you’ll learn to leverage Claude 3’s impressive capabilities as a set of large language models through prompt engineering. First, you’ll explore the three model flavors known as Haiku, Sonet, and Opus. The tradeoffs and capabilities of each, including configurable options such as temperature and token limits. Next, you’ll discover how to construct context, instructions, and examples to reliably guide Claude 3’s responses to best meet your needs. Finally, you’ll learn how to assess the effectiveness of your responses and further specialize around domain specific applications. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of prompt engineering via the Claude 3 APIs needed to effectively use these models in your specific applications and environments.
