VMware Horizon 7.10 ESB: Implement JMP with DEM, App Volumes, and Workspace ONE Access
Explore the components and the integration of VMware’s Just-in-time Management Platform, including Dynamic Environment Manager, App Volumes, and Workspace ONE Access.
Your journey in this learning path has taken you through the implementation and management of desktop pools, but you haven’t yet focused on what’s arguably the most important part: The user. In this course, VMware Horizon 7.10 ESB: Implement JMP with DEM, App Volumes, and Workspace ONE Access, you’ll explore how best to manage your users’ profile data, their applications, and their authentication at the front door. First, you’ll take a look at VMware’s Dynamic Environment Manager, formerly User Environment Manager, where you’ll explore how to capture just the “interesting” configurations for our deployed applications. Then, you’ll shift into the applications themselves with an extended look at App Volumes, an elegant tool for delivering the right apps to each individual user with appropriate granularity. Next, you’ll combine these two tools with your desktop pool assignments via a JMP Server, VMware’s solution for bringing everything together via their Just-In-time Management Platform. Finally, you’ll look at consolidating authentication via Workspace ONE Access, where you’ll bring all your Horizon and other applications together under a single user login. By the end of this course, you’ll be armed with the skills you need to manage your user profiles and applications as you deploy Horizon desktops.
